Indian education is entering a new phase where artificial intelligence is moving beyond text-based answers and becoming a tool for explaining concepts visually. Among the entrepreneurs working in this space is Ria S., Founder & COO of MyMagicPencil AI.

Her venture is taking a different approach to AI-powered learning: instead of simply giving students an answer, MyMagicPencil is designed to draw the explanation step by step while explaining it through narration.

Making AI More Like a Teacher

The idea behind MyMagicPencil emerged from a growing concern around AI-assisted learning — students can easily copy answers from chatbots without necessarily understanding the underlying concept.

Ria and her team approached the problem from the perspective of how a teacher traditionally explains difficult subjects: by drawing diagrams, writing equations and explaining the reasoning progressively on a board.

MyMagicPencil turns that teaching approach into an AI-powered experience. A learner can enter a topic or upload learning material, after which the system generates a visual lesson that is drawn and narrated progressively.

A Focus on Visual Understanding

The technology behind the platform is built around a Vector-Agent Engine, which generates editable vector strokes rather than conventional video frames.

This allows explanations to be created as mathematical paths, diagrams and labels that can be rendered as they are taught. According to the project information, this approach can use significantly less bandwidth than conventional video while maintaining high-quality visual output.

For students studying mathematics, science, engineering and other subjects where diagrams and step-by-step reasoning are important, this visual approach can offer an alternative to purely text-based AI tutoring.

Breaking Language Barriers

Another important aspect of Ria’s work is multilingual education.

MyMagicPencil’s technology is designed to provide narrated lessons in 88+ languages, potentially allowing learners to experience visual explanations in languages beyond English.

The platform is also being developed with accessibility in mind. Its lightweight lesson format is intended to make visual learning possible even where internet bandwidth is limited.

From an Idea to a Working Product

The development of MyMagicPencil has involved several iterations.

The team initially experimented with conventional AI-generated images but encountered problems with inaccurate labels, mathematical errors and the difficulty of editing generated images. This led to the development of its vector-based approach, where the system generates the logic behind the drawing rather than simply generating a finished picture.

The platform has since progressed to include features such as document uploads, narrated lessons, multilingual support and a developer API. Its Android application was also in development as the venture continued expanding its product in 2026.

Recognition in 2026

Ria’s work received recognition from the startup ecosystem in 2026 when she was selected among the Top 8 finalists of the TiE Women Global Pitch Competition — Delhi-NCR Region.

TiE Delhi-NCR identified Ria S. as Founder & COO of MyMagicPencil, describing the venture as an AI teacher capable of drawing and speaking while delivering narrated lessons in 88+ languages.

MyMagicPencil was also selected for the 2026 James Dyson Award, giving further visibility to its technology-focused approach to education.

Building a Different Kind of AI Learning Experience

Ria’s entrepreneurial journey represents a broader shift taking place in India’s technology ecosystem.

Rather than using AI simply to generate more information, MyMagicPencil is attempting to use AI to show how information can be understood.

That distinction is important in education. A student may be able to obtain an answer within seconds, but understanding the reasoning behind that answer can require a very different form of teaching.

Ria’s approach attempts to bridge that gap through visual explanations, narration and multilingual learning.

A New Chapter in Indian EdTech

With MyMagicPencil, Ria S. is building at the intersection of artificial intelligence, education and accessibility.

Her story is particularly relevant to India’s emerging generation of technology entrepreneurs who are developing products for challenges that extend beyond traditional software applications.

For IndianLeaders, Ria’s journey stands out not simply because she is building an AI startup, but because she is exploring a fundamental question for the future of education:

Can artificial intelligence become a better teacher by learning to explain, rather than simply answer?

Ria S. and MyMagicPencil are attempting to find that answer — one visual lesson at a time.
